Ice Skating Group Lessons
"A Sport for the Whole
Family"
2009/2010 WINTER/SPRING CLASS SCHEDULE
(6-Week Sessions)
|
We want skating to be a positive
experience in your life. Skating is
great exercise, a fun social
activity and a sport that can teach
life lessons. We have several
programs that can benefit young and
old, beginner and advanced and
everything in between. Learn to
Skate classes will prepare you to
continue on into figure
skating or ice hockey.
Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to
the class start time to allow plenty
of time to get skates on and to get
organized into your proper class
level. It is recommended that
skaters wear comfortable layers that
allow for movement with long sleeves
and pants, gloves or mittens.
Helmets, such as a bike helmet or
HECC helmet, are highly recommended,
particularly for first-time skaters.
Rental skates are available on a
first come, first serve basis. You
are welcome to bring your own skates
to obtain a class discount. We do
not recommend that you buy skates
from department stores or high
volume retailers since most do not
give you sufficient ankle support.
If in doubt, please consult with any
coach or contact
Dot Gualtieri who will give you
an honest assessment of what you
have or should have. |
