Two SCW Funds to Raise Cash

The 3 large snowstorms that dumped more than 2 feet of snow in our area were expensive and ended up costing $8,000 which was not budgeted. We spend less than $1,000 on average per year on snow removal usually absorbed in our operating budget. Our operating funds pay for electricity, staff, ice making, cleaning and other operating costs.

Furthermore, we rely on our community to help us raise the capital that we need to make improvements to our facility.  Many individuals and businesses in the community contributed to last year’s “Raise the Roof” fundraiser, which raised more than $15,000 for capital improvements.  Since then, we've continued to receive contributions, and our capital improvements fund now has more than $17,000.
